The Children at St. Matthews have been busy making decorations for their community Christmas tree. This year the children chose a ‘Green’ theme, with all their decorations made from natural materials or materials that could be reused. They continued their ‘Green’ theme by selecting a locally grown tree to minimise the environmental impact of buying a tree from further a field.

Earlier this term the children held a French breakfast cafe – to raise money for the local charity CHiNK (Children in Kenya) which is based in Tuxford. They raised a fantastic £180 which will go through the charity to support the education of Aisha in Kenya, who the school have been supporting for the last 10 years.
