Over the last week there have been lots of fantastic events bringing our community together in the build up to Christmas.

On Tuesday evening, FONS (Friends of Norwell School) brought the community into school to make Christmas Wreaths together.  It was lovely to see so many people there having fun and raising money for the school.

On Friday Oliver and Abigail (both Year 6 pupils) visited St. Mary’s Church in Newark to decorate a Christmas tree on behalf of Larkin and Co. for the 14th annual Christmas tree festival.  Out theme this year was diversity – even though we are all different, we are all the same.  Children were inspired by a quote from Jo Cox MP who said “We have far more in common with each other than that which divides us.”

Our Diversi-tree is covered in globes and hands made by the pupils and can be viewed up until 11th December.

Finally, at the weekend, the community were again invited into Norwell School for our Christmas Fair.

The ‘quiet area’ of the playground was transformed into a winter wonderland complete with Reindeer, while inside homemade crafts and gifts were on sale.

Once again it was lovely to see so many people coming together at the school.

Thank-you to FONS for all their hard work putting these events together.  Merry Christmas everyone !!!
