Welcome to the year of the tiger…..

Across the federation we have been celebrating Chinese New Year and welcoming in the year of the tiger.

Our Reception and Key Stage 1 children had an exciting day celebrating the Chinese New Year at Brackenhurst Educational Centre, where they made lots of crafts including Willow Pattern plates, Chinese dragons, Chinese lanterns and Tigers. They listened to the story of the Chinese New Year and joined in with an animal race and dragon dance.

In school our Key Stage 2 children helped recounted the story of the animal race in collective worship.
