Tour of Britain 2022

Children from both our schools were delighted to be able to celebrate as this years Tour of Britain raced through both Norwell and Normanton on the way from West Bridgeford to Mansfield on Stage 5 of this year’s Tour.

The children learned about the history of the race, which started with cyclists riding from Brighton to Glasgow to celebrate the end of World War 2.  The race now attracts some of the top professional riders and is watched around the world.

Following the race children completed some written work back in school, including descriptions of what they saw, and newspaper reports about the events of the day.
