To end the half term year 5 and 6 pupils from both schools in the federation were given the opportunity to join the Young Voices Choir for a concert at Sheffield Arena. We joined over 5,000 other pupils from schools across the country to practice and perform a wide selection of songs the children have been learning in school.
In the evening friends and family of everyone performing filled the arena to see an amazing concert of songs performed by the young voices choir, along with special performances from the Beatbox Collective, dance group ‘Urban Strides’ and violinist Anna Phoebe.
To finish the evening the children accompanied Heather Small in a rendition of her famous song ‘Proud’, which will be re-released with the young voices choir as a charity single later in the year.
