Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back! I hope you all had a very enjoyable summer break.
It is lovely to see that the sunshine is still with us as we start this new academic year. We will be keeping you up to date with everything in school as it promises to be a very exciting term. Today I noticed fairy tale characters moving around school and in class 1 some elves had left a very mysterious box for the children to investigate!
Good To Be Green!
We have a new rewards system running in school called “Good to be Green”, you will see the wall hangers up in each class. The children are busy collecting their “good to be green” stickers to show how hard they have been working and they will receive certificates in our special assemblies on. We will be holding a special work assembly for parents to attend later in the term and will send this date out very soon.
A full list of key dates will be included in this week’s newsletter but you can also check the school website as the calendar will be live on the site at the end of this week, www.norwellandstmatthews.co.uk .
Unfortunately we have had a few children who have been unwell in school, can I just remind parents that if your child has been sick or suffered diarrhoea they should not return until 48 hours after their last bout of sickness. Please can you also notify the school office on the first day of absence from school.
We are looking forward to working with you all to provide the very best education for all of the children and as always if you have any questions or need any information please call in and see a member of staff.
