The Kite Primary Federation were invited to plant a number of trees by Via East Midlands local authority Treescapes fund 2022 at both Norwell and St Matthews.

The Treescape Fund was a Local Authority initiative where 1240 trees will be planted and maintained across the county. Our trees were planted in and around our Forest School areas and will provide a contrast to the more juvenile trees already in place.

The trees we planted were all grown locally and have “passports” to tell us where they were grown.

The children were invited to take part in the planting of the trees supervised by members of the Via EM Forestry team who shared their knowledge with some very interested and enthusiastic “budding” arborists.

Thank you again to Via EM for this opportunity to contribute to the children’s learning and the local environment and for providing a fun day for the children.

New trees added to our forest school areas.
