The Children of Norwell Church of England Primary School have joined people from across the country marking Armistice Day.

Throughout the week everyone in school has painted plastic bottles to turn them into poppies.  These have then been displayed at the entrance to school alongside poetry and newspaper articles from the time, which have also been decorated with tissue paper poppies.

To mark Armistice Day itself, children walked down to St. Laurence Church, to observe 2 minutes silence.  Year 5 and 6 children read two poems before placing wooden crosses into the ground around the war memorial, each bearing the name of those from Norwell and Norwell Woodhouse who have sadly lost their lives serving our country.
