Kathryn King – Headteacher

I started working at Norwell in 2008 and have loved being part of it’s community.  Federating with St Matthews gave me the opportunity to develop my leadership skills which has now set me in good stead for leading the Federation as the Executive Head. I enjoy living in rural Nottinghamshire and being part of an active community.  I am married with two sons and in my spare time – mainly school holidays! – we love travelling to other countries to learn about different societies and lifestyles.

David Purveur – Chair

I have been involved as a governor, originally at Norwell, since 2009 during which time I have seen many changes and watched both schools go from strength to strength. I have two daughters who have some time since moved to senior school. I am a trained actor and work peripatetically in education as a drama specialist. In my spare time I enjoy playing badminton and watching rugby union.

Elizabeth Jones

I have lived in Norwell for nearly 20 years.  I am churchwarden at St Laurence church and a Foundation Governor for the Kite Federation so I am able to foster the links between church and school.  After a career in secondary teaching I have been able to use my skills, I hope, in the Curriculum and Pupils Committee.

Rachel Watson

I am delighted to now serve as a co-opted governor for the Kite Federation, having got to know the work of the Federation when my daughter joined one of the schools in the Autumn Term 2018. I am passionate about education, raising standards and ensuring all children are able to reach their full potential. I have worked within the Education sector since 2005, and now hold a Masters in Autism and a National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership. Furthermore I am a designated Specialist Leader for Education. Within my current role I have responsibility for curriculum, teaching and learning, and progress and outcomes. As a person I am always striving to improve what I do by engaging in research, undertaking professional reading and working in collaboration with others. I look forward to utilising my skills and learning as a member of the Kite Federation governing body.

Laura Stacey

I am a new parent governor starting in 2019 and have a son currently in key stage 1 at school. I am lucky to have had a wealth of experience growing up with a parent and many other relatives within the teaching and education profession. Currently my husband and I have our own Falconry business offering various experiences and we run a Falconry Academy centre open to the public based in Farnsfield. I have a keen interest in cooking and baking and love spending time with the family.
