On Monday 10th October 2016 Year 5/6 children from Norwell and St. Matthew’s had a fabulous day out in London. The visit was a part of their study of Shakespeare, his plays and London in his life time.

It was well worth the long coach journey as we spent time at The Globe Theatre finding out about the theatre all those years ago and took the chance to sit on the benches and look at the stage; imagining the plays as Shakespeare had seen them performed.

We then took the river taxi along the Thames, taking in some of the sights and using our photography skills gained during our special sessions in school. It was a crisp, bright Autumn day and we got some great photos.

We left the river taxi at the London Eye and were met by our guides who led us onto the Eye. The views were incredible and we learnt so much and saw more of London that we could have hoped to have seen on foot.

Everyone had a fabulous day and friendships were strengthened across the two schools.
