The children had a fantastic time at the Gymnastics Festival today! During the morning they had the opportunity to explore lots of different equipment. The children tried new things that they had not tried before….they were all very brave!
World Book Day At St. Matthews

KS1 and EYFS Maths Café!
The children were very pleased to share their maths skills with parents during the Café! It gave the parents the chance to look at just how hard the children have been working using the new maths scheme – Power Maths!
‘Carnival of Colour’ Art Exhibition

St Michael’s Residential Year 3 and 4
We had a fantastic time away at Hathersage where we had the opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings! We enjoyed a variety of activities including dry stone walling, orienteering, hiking, den building and much more!
Duxford Air Museum!
The children at St Matthews CofE and Norwell CofE Primary enjoyed a fantastic day at Duxford Imperial War Museum! They had the opportunity to see many different aircraft and they were especially excited about walking on the famous Concorde!
Birds of Prey Visit
The children loved seeing and learning about the different birds of prey today. They had plenty of questions to ask Simon and Laura from Go-Active Falconry and were even lucky enough to stroke some of the birds!
Marvellous History Projects Years 5 and 6
The local history projects created by the children for the Michael Wood Award in association with Laxton History group were excellent. The children had obviously put in so much effort into each project and they were all so varied! The parents, carers and visitors
Twycross Zoo Trip
The trip to the zoo was a huge success! The children enjoyed looking at the animals and seeing their habitats. They also learnt lots about the different types of animals and how they adapt to their habitats in the workshop
Sports Day
We had a wonderful Kite Federation Sports Day with beautiful sunshine. The children took part so well and having all our parents there, made it special. Thank you for coming and supporting the children.
