Our Pre School, Reception and Year 1/2 opened for visitors this morning. Parents joined their children for a chance to see how they learn in our lovely EYFS/KS1 area. The children impressed their parents with their high levels of concentration, independence and enjoyment in all of the activities. Addition of two digit numbers, story telling, handwriting and phonics were taking place alongside learning through play. Charles used the building blocks and items from the play cupboard to create a very convincing tractor complete with steering wheel, headlamps and sound effects! Unfortunately the gear box developed a fault but there were lots of friends to help! The sand pit was set up by Josh and Fergus at the beginning of the day and was an exciting Jurassic Park style play area for the morning.
Thank you to all of the parents who took the time to share their child’s school experience and offer their support to our work in school. It was a fabulous morning and we loved having you with us in school.
