Dear Parents and Carers,

As the end of the Autumn Term is fast approaching I wanted to remind you all of the events we have throughout December and also upcoming dates for the Spring Term.

Christmas Nativity

We will be performing ‘Nativity Rocks’ next week and we have an exciting opportunity to be part of a supplement in the Newark Advertiser featuring some of our children during the Nativity dress rehearsal. Professional photographs of the performance will also be available to order from the school during the evening performances of the play.

The dates for the play are Tuesday 9th December at 6.30pm and Wednesday 10th December at 6.30pm. please bring your child to school at 6.00pm to get ready. Refreshments will be available for the audience between 6.00-6.30pm provided by FONS. We require donations of mince pies for both evenings and if you are able to help serve the refreshments, please let the school office know.

We will also be performing a traditional nativity at Norwell Church on Thursday 18th December @ 09.30am, performed by Key Stage 1. Please join us to celebrate this special time of year.

Community Christmas Lunch

We will be holding our Christmas Community Lunch on Monday 15th December at 12.00 noon. All orders should now be in and any outstanding payments should be sent in as soon as possible. Costs are £2.52 for adults and £2.10 for children who usually pay for school meals.

Christmas Parties

Children will be celebrating the festivities on the last day of term with their Christmas Parties from 1pm in school.

We will be continuing to swim on Wednesday mornings until February half term. This is a difficult time of year as the weather is changing and many of the children are suffering with coughs and colds. If you do not wish your child to swim as he/she has had a heavy cold and is only just recovering then we recommend that your child returns to school when they have had time to feel better and are able to take part in school activities.

I would like to draw your attention to the dates attached to this newsletter. Please note that we are closed on Monday 5th January for INSET and school reopens after the Christmas break on Tuesday 6th January.

I look forward to seeing you in school over the next few weeks.

Best Wishes and Happy Christmas!
