The Countryfile Ramble for BBC Children in Need takes place again this year over the weekend of the 8th and 9th of October.

David and Lesley Boddy and their family are organising a leisurely 5 mile ramble to raise money for Children in Need and invite you and your family to join them.
The ramble will start from Readyfields Farm, Caunton, NG23 6AS, on Sunday 9th October at 11.30am. The route will take you through rarely seen private farmland and woodland areas.
Please wear suitable clothing, coat, walking shoes or trainers etc. Water bottles will be provided for you. Due to the length of the walk, we ask you to please be aware of limitations of younger children. Prams are not suitable for the terrain. As this is NOT a school organised event David and Lesley ask that all children be accompanied by an adult.  Dogs are not permitted on this walk.
Half way point is Newfield Diary Ice Cream Parlour (so bring some money for a hot chocolate or ice cream- weather depending) and then it’s a gentle stroll back to the farm through more scenic countryside.
On return, there will be a chocolate tombola for the children. Donations would be appreciated- please drop into school or give directly to Lesley.
Tea, coffee and cakes will also be available on return for a small donation.
An admission fee of £1 will go straight to Children in Need, as will proceeds from the tombola and the refreshments provided at the end of the ramble.

We encourage you to raise further funds for this special charity by downloading a sponsorship form found following this link: http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/tv/countryfile/countryfile_ramble_cin_2016.pdf external-link

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the day and thank you to Lesley and David for organising a fantastic family event all for a worthy cause.
