With Covid-19 restrictions easing, we were delighted to be able to take all our KS2 pupils from across the federation to Murton Park in York for an immersive Roman Day to enrich the topic work we are learning in school.
Nativity Trip – EYFS and KS1
The children across the Federation had an enjoyable day at Perlethorpe in the lead up to Christmas! They re-enacted the journey Mary and Joseph took to Bethlehem and had the opportunity to role-play events and dress up as different characters.
Tennis Festival 2019
We took part in the Caunton tennis club’s Tennis Festival with our Year 1s and 2s. They practised different skills including balancing, catching and using a racket to hit a tennis ball. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and learnt
Safety Zone

RHS Chatsworth Flower Show!
The children had an amazing day at Chatworth Flower Show! The Garden Design Club entered the Chatsworth Schools Competition and created a ‘Wizard of Oz’ themed recycled planter, it looked magical! Well done to the club for such a fantastic
Gymnastics Festival!
The children had a fantastic time at the Gymnastics Festival today! During the morning they had the opportunity to explore lots of different equipment. The children tried new things that they had not tried before….they were all very brave!
Transport Museum
Key Stage 2 children enjoyed their inspiring visit to Coventry Transport Museum. Together, pupils from Norwell and St Matthews investigated forces and designed their own cars and explored the museum where, they saw cars old and new as well as cars of
St Michael’s Residential Year 3 and 4
We had a fantastic time away at Hathersage where we had the opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings! We enjoyed a variety of activities including dry stone walling, orienteering, hiking, den building and much more!
Duxford Air Museum!
The children at St Matthews CofE and Norwell CofE Primary enjoyed a fantastic day at Duxford Imperial War Museum! They had the opportunity to see many different aircraft and they were especially excited about walking on the famous Concorde!
Twycross Zoo Trip
The trip to the zoo was a huge success! The children enjoyed looking at the animals and seeing their habitats. They also learnt lots about the different types of animals and how they adapt to their habitats in the workshop
