Key Stage 2 children participated in a very informative visit from Network Rail, discussing different aspects of safety.
Did you know trains on our line can travel at speeds of up to 125 mph? It takes 30 seconds to travel 1 mile at this speed. It also takes the length of 20 football pitches to stop! They weigh as much as 80 elephants!
These are some of the facts that wowed our children today. Class 1 also had a special talk about level crossings and how to be safe around them.
