Along with all Primary schools we have, this year, received funding to widen children’s access to a range of sports and develop their skills.

As a small school we have used a portion of this money to ensure that our children have been able to participate in the range of collaborative sporting events available through the Tuxford family of schools. This includes travel costs as well as the cost of participating. This year children have attended;

  • Multi skills
  • Country dancing
  • Basketball
  • Dance festival
  • Gymnastics
  • Rounders
  • Orienteering

In addition children have had specialist sport coaches in school weekly to focus on tennis, basketball and cricket.

The funding has also been used to enhance our curriculum topics.

The school will continue to use the funding to offer a wide experience to the children as well as CPD for teachers in order to ensure that we can continue to offer this range into the future.
